Terms of service
In effect from 30 July 2026.
1. Who runs the service
anyutil.io is run by Matěj Wernisch, registered office Sokolská 1883/8, Prague 2, Czech Republic, company ID 29519641, registered in the Czech trade register (the “provider” or “we”).
You can write to us any time at hello@anyutil.io. We usually reply within a few working days.
These terms apply to using the anyutil.io website and every tool on it, whether you use the service for free or subscribe to the Premium or Business plan. By using the service you agree to them.
2. What the service does
anyutil.io is a collection of online tools for everyday work with documents, images, text and numbers. Most tools run entirely in your browser and the file is never sent to us. Some are computed by the server, because a browser could not handle them: PDF compression, conversion between PDF and Word, background removal, audio transcription and the tools that use a language model.
The tools are an aid, not professional advice. Check the result before you use it for anything that matters. More on that in article 10.
3. Account
You can use the tools without registering. An account is needed for saving favourite tools and presets, for the usage overview and for a subscription.
When registering, give accurate details and an email address you can access: without confirming it the account features stay locked. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so do not share your password. An account is personal and is not meant to be used by several people at once; the Business plan is there for that.
You can delete the account and all its data yourself in your account overview, at any time and without asking. Deletion is final. If a subscription is running, we cancel it; tax documents already issued have to be kept for 10 years by law.
We may close an account if it is used to breach article 12, or if it has been unused and without a subscription for more than two years. In the second case we email you first and give you at least 30 days to respond.
4. Plans and prices
Current prices, the differences between plans and the daily limits tool by tool are in the pricing. We deliberately do not repeat them here so the two cannot drift apart.
- Free: the tools that run in the browser stay free and unlimited. The tools computed by the server have the daily limit stated in the pricing.
- Premium: higher daily limits, longer input for the language model tools and the other benefits listed in the pricing. Billed monthly or yearly.
- Business: a subscription for a team. The owner pays for seats and hands them out by invitation. Details in article 7.
We may change prices. For a running subscription a change takes effect from the next period only, and we let you know by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree with the change, cancel the subscription before the current period ends, see article 8.
5. Concluding the contract and payment
The subscription contract comes into being when the order is paid. Payments are handled by Stripe, by card or through Apple Pay and Google Pay. Card numbers never reach us.
A subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length until you cancel it. The amount is taken at the start of each period. The tax document for every payment is in the subscription management, linked from your account overview.
If a payment cannot be taken, Stripe retries it a few times and the subscription keeps running in the meantime. If the last attempt fails too, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan. You lose neither data nor settings.
6. Activation and access
Paid features are switched on immediately after payment, usually within seconds. At your express request we therefore start performing before the withdrawal period expires, which has the consequence described in article 9.
7. Business plan
On the Business plan our customer is the account owner who pays for the subscription. They buy seats and hand them out by email invitation. Every occupied seat gives one invited account the same benefits as Premium, nothing beyond that. The owner has the Premium benefits as well and takes up none of the purchased seats.
- An invitation holds a seat from the moment it is sent. It is valid for 14 days and can then be sent again.
- The owner can revoke an invitation or remove a member at any time. The seat is freed immediately and the removed account loses the Premium benefits. It loses neither data nor settings.
- A member can leave the team at any time, with the same consequence.
- The number of seats is changed in the subscription management; Stripe works out the difference in price.
- If the owner reduces the number of seats below the number of people in the team, the benefits stay with those who joined earlier. The others get them back as soon as a seat is freed or more seats are bought.
- When the owner's subscription ends, the Premium benefits end for every team member. We delete neither the team nor the list of people; everything comes back when the subscription is renewed.
Team members pay nothing for the service and have no subscription contract with us. It is the account owner who is bound towards them.
8. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel a subscription at any time in the subscription management, without giving a reason and without a notice period. Cancelling means the subscription does not renew. The paid period runs to its end and only then does the account return to the Free plan.
9. Withdrawal within 14 days
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason. An email to hello@anyutil.io is enough; we require no form.
Because we make the service available at your request immediately after payment (article 6), on withdrawal we are entitled to a proportionate part of the price for the time you had the service available. We return the rest within 14 days of the withdrawal at the latest, by the same means you paid.
Withdrawal applies to a newly concluded contract. Automatic renewal for another period is not a new contract and does not restart the period; handle renewal by cancelling under article 8. The right of withdrawal belongs to consumers, that is people not acting within their business activity. It does not apply to businesses.
10. What we are and are not responsible for
We provide the service as it is and do our best to keep it working well and continuously. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability though: maintenance, updates or an outage on a supplier's side can make the service temporarily unavailable.
With the language model tools in particular, the output is machine-generated text that can sound convincing and still be factually wrong. The results of the tools, document conversions and calculations included, are not legal, tax, accounting or any other professional advice. Check them before you build anything on them.
We are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit or loss of data not caused by a breach of our obligation. On paid plans our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription over the last 12 months. Consumer rights from defective performance and liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence are not affected.
The editors keep work in progress only in the memory of your browser tab. Closing the tab loses the work, so download the result as you go.
11. Complaints
If a paid feature does not work as it should, write to hello@anyutil.io and describe what is happening. We handle a complaint within 30 days at the latest. We fix the fault first of all; if that cannot be done in reasonable time, you are entitled to a discount or a refund for the period the service did not work.
12. What is not allowed
You must not use the service to:
- circumvent the daily limits, for instance by creating accounts just for that,
- harvest the service automatically or load it beyond ordinary use, that is with bots and bulk scripted calls,
- process content you have no rights to, or unlawful content,
- attempt to disrupt the service, obtain other people's data or bypass security.
In case of a breach we may restrict access or close the account. With a subscription we refund the proportionate part of the price for the unused period, unless the breach was intentional.
13. Your files and personal data
Files and text stay yours; we acquire no rights to them. What happens to them, and why there is no cookie banner here, is described in the privacy policy.
14. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms, for instance when a new feature is added. We notify signed-in users of a substantial change by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree with the change, you can cancel the subscription or the account before it takes effect. Using the service after the effective date means accepting the change.
15. Governing law and disputes
The relationship is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and for consumers Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection. This does not affect the rights a consumer has under the law of their country of residence.
We prefer to settle disputes by talking, so please write to us first. The body competent for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Prague 1, adr.coi.cz. The procedure is free for consumers and can be started within one year of the day you first exercised your right with us. Consumers in the EU can also use the ODR platform.
16. Effect
These terms take effect on 30 July 2026 and replace all previous versions.
