How to join several recordings

Different formats and different audio settings are not a problem. Every track is brought to the same sample rate and to stereo before joining, so a phone recording sits happily next to studio music.

Does the volume stay the same?
The tracks are joined as they are. If one plays noticeably louder, level it first with the volume tool.
Can I make a mix or a crossfade with it?
No, the recordings follow one another and never overlap. To lay music under a video, use the tool that adds audio to video.
What order are the files joined in?
Exactly the order they appear in the list. Change it with the arrows on each item.
