Split a presentation

Take the slides you need, leave the rest

Drop in a PPTX and pick the slides, either by clicking the thumbnails or by typing a range like 1-3, 7, 10-12. You get a new presentation with only those slides. The other mode cuts the deck into chunks of a set size and hands them back as a ZIP, which is how you turn one long deck into a file per section.

The slides are not redrawn: the parts of the original package are rearranged, so fonts, images, charts and animations survive exactly as they were, including things our own editor could not reproduce.

Frequently asked questions

Are the speaker notes kept?

Yes. Notes travel with their slide, as do the layouts and the theme.

Does the file get smaller?

Usually yes, because unused images and layouts are dropped. A deck with a few heavy photos on the slides you kept will not shrink much.

Does the result open in PowerPoint?

Yes. It is an ordinary PPTX that opens in PowerPoint, LibreOffice Impress and Google Slides.

Is the presentation uploaded to a server?

No. The file is unpacked and put back together in your browser, so a confidential deck never leaves your computer.
