What makes the text readable

Impact with a black outline is the classic that reads on any background, which is why meme captions use it. Colour, size and alignment are all yours to change and the outline can be turned off. Longer text wraps onto more lines by itself, according to the width of the image. You download the result as a PNG and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have more than one line?

Yes. Either break the lines yourself with Enter, or let the text wrap on its own when it runs wider than the image.

Can the text be edited after saving?

Not in the finished image — the text is part of the pixels by then. While the tool is still open you can change the wording and the position freely, so keep the original image just in case.

Does the image keep its quality?

Yes. The text is drawn at the full resolution of the original and saved as a PNG, with no lossy compression.
